| Workforce Education and Training |
Maintaining a qualified workforce has become the number one issue for many businesses. In today’s dynamic and fast-paced workplace, employees need to constantly build and enhance their job skills in order for the company to stay competitive. Peak Enterprise Solutions offers education and training in multiple areas that includes classroom and hands-on application training. Through a partnership with the Apprentice Academy of South Bend and Vincennes University, participants can earn certificates of learning and/or college credit at Vincennes University. Many of the programs qualify for state grant money in Indiana and other states. |
| Lean Enterprise Performance |
| Lean Enterprise Implementation is a methodology that integrates strategy, people, and technology into an approach that applies Lean thinking to all enterprise processes. It uses Lean principles, tools, and practices to initially improve, and then continuously improve, each of the operational process throughout the organization. This methodology starts with developing an overall plan of implementation with top management. Then, for each process to be addressed, the existing way of doing business, or the current state, is developed and documented. Next, the desired way, or future state, is developed which includes both improvements and measurements. Finally, a work plan is developed and implemented to change the process from current state to future state. |
| Business System Selection, Design and Implementation |
Peak utilizes a three phase methodology to assist with determining the enterprise information system needs. We focus on business processes first and then on the tool (software) needed to support the business. This is done with the business strategy in mind and is conducted with a client's team throughout the project. The methodology is education based and insures that everyone involved is committed to and aware of best practice thinking. By using the three phase methodology, 1) Planning, 2) Design, 3) Implementation, Peak Enterprise Solutions can assist the client in the selection of the system to be used, the design of how how that system will be integrated into the overall business processes and the implementation of that system, including business process changes, with a successful "go-live". Since Peak does not sell or represent any specific system or software, our consultants can be objective for the client's sake and can concentrate on the best practice business processes and the correct usage of the system to support these processes. | Strategic Planning |
| In the words of Alice in Wonderland – “If you don’t know where you are going, then any road will do!” Every business owner or manager, who wants to define the road to success and maximize his firm’s performance and value, will begin by establishing a Strategic Plan. Peak’s methodology is based on planning from the top down and implementing from the bottom up. From the top, Strategic Planning provides an organization with a road map to success. The Strategic Plan then becomes the foundation for any project or endeavor initiated within an organization. From here all Key Performance Measures (KPI's) can be established and a basis for monitoring and measuring your success begins. (more information) |
| ERP and Supply Chain Management Principles |
Many times, companies want to make improvements to their processes without going to a whole new system or implementing a full lean project. They just want to improve on what they have. Examples of these efforts that improve specific business processes include:
- Establishing a perpetual inventory system
- Improving inventory accuracy
- Changing the flow of work on the shop floor or in the office
- Implementing or improving demand planning and material planning techniques
- Developing or improving the production planning and scheduling activity
- Enhancing the quoting and order acceptance process
For issues from quote to cash, Peak consultants bring a methodology, best practice awareness, knowledge of various ERP systems and years of experience to combine with the client’s company and industry knowledge in order to develop solutions that work. These projects can be individual, small and focused or part of an overall plan to improve the business processes throughout the entire organization. The methodology of analyzing the current process, developing the preferred process and creating a work plan that gets the changes made is proven to be flexible, efficient and effective for making changes in the organization. |
